Job Description
As an Early Childhood Educator at Rothewood Academy, you will play a key role in developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the holistic development of children. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising staff, trainees, or volunteers
- Leading activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and organizing outings
- Ordering supplies and equipment
- Supporting other educators in program implementation
- Assisting with record-keeping
- Engaging children in creative activities
- Guiding children in developing healthy habits
- Maintaining daycare equipment and assisting with housekeeping and cooking duties
- Observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues
- Providing written observations to supervisors
- Collaborating with colleagues and community service providers
- Establishing and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience in a child care setting is an asset
Benefits
Rothewood Academy offers a competitive salary of $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, to be negotiated, based on qualifications and experience. In addition to competitive pay, Rothewood Academy provides health benefits and other perks to its employees.
