At the heart of the redevelopment is a major investment from the Sunray Group, which is spearheading the $45 million construction of a new Marriott-branded luxury hotel. The hotel will serve as the cornerstone of a reimagined beachfront precinct featuring:

  • Convention and event spaces
  • Spa, fitness and pool amenities
  • Restaurants, cafes, and bars
  • Retail shops and entertainment venues

The new hotel and commercial promenade will replace the old pier area, injecting new life into the shoreline and redefining the visitor experience.

This shift also includes a jurisdictional change, as management of the beach itself will transition from provincial control to the Town of Wasaga Beach, integrating the beachfront more fully into the broader Destination Wasaga master plan.
