Maple Leaf Day will be the one day when Canadians will be asked to reflect on the link between their lives and the maple leaf — a symbol of Canadians’ historical, economic and environmental link to trees.

When Is Maple Leaf Day?

The last Wednesday in September, during National Forest Week — an excellent time to plant trees in all areas of the country. This year, the official day is September 22, 2010.

Last year Maple Leaf Day ceremonies took place in 30 communities across Canada.
